I found a 1968, Japanese documentary on railways on youtube. And spotted some very cool kei cars. Like the Mitsubishi Minicab and Honda T360 above.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Another closer view of that Mitsubishi.
A Daihatsu Fellow smokes away.
A V olkswagen in Tokyo. Maybe the only place where one of these was a rare sight in 1968.
A Subaru 360 Custom (station wagon). Running clean - no doubt fitted with Subaru’s automatic oil injection.

I would love a classic kei car someday!!! Especially one of those Minicas after Nakazoto’s restoration blog of one!
A think a Honda Life Touring would be top of my list though!

Good spots; I am not nearly as well versed in kei cars or Japanese cars of that era in general. Most of those were two stroke, right?
You should repost for the afternoon crowd, when pip bip’s “reign of terror” (jk, I quite like it ) has ended for the day.

Yeah, the Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, and Subaru are all 2-stroke powered.
